We had a few days off school for Fall Break so we took a quick trip to St George to see James parents in their “winter home”. We had a relaxing few days.
Here are a few of the things that we did:
*The girls follow a family on YouTube called the Not Enough Nelsons. Last year they opened a boutique retail store in St. George so we HAD to go shop there. It was a really cute store with lots of fun clothes.
Next to it they also have a sweet shop so we tried their sodas and locally made treats .
*We went out to dinner at a Japanese hibachi restaurant called Sakura with our niece and nephew, Kiely and Landon, who go to college in St George. It was fun and delicious!
After dinner I introduced the girls to Iceberg milk shakes.
We also went to see our friend Tami (who moved to St.George from Seattle) and had a nice long visit with her … I forgot to take a picture.
*We drove around the downtown area of St . George, had Kouign Amman at Farmstead and did a tour of Brigham Young’s winter home.
And of course, because we were in Utah, we had Swig almost everyday.
* I took the girls to see The Wizard of Oz at Tuachan while James and his parents hosted a BYU football party. Tuachan is an outdoor theater at the end of a canyon. It’s been a favorite of mine for 20 years.
It was a short but great getaway. Maija
