T-10 and counting

After numerous flight cancellations and changes by our friends at Delta and Korean air we're hoping we have a solid itinerary. We have been booking rooms at lodges, serviced apartments and jungle resorts piecing together our trip. The benefit of having waited so long to book things in Australia and the collapse of the US financial economy, is we're getting a great exchange rate on the USD.

We've both been fighting colds, stuffy heads, coughing, achy body nightmare, which really sucks knowing we have 24 hours of flying and scuba diving coming up. Hopefully we'll get this licked over the next week.

The Korean "spa" experience

James found the attached article about going to the spa in Korea. It's pretty funny and yes we will be going to the spa, maybe everyday.

One month to go

After a year of planning and anticipation we are one month from starting our next big adventure. We are leaving on Nov 8th to Australia and will be there for 3 weeks. We will then fly to Seoul Korea for 5 days (returning home to Seattle on Dec 2nd). Hopefully our blog will keep everyone up to date on where we are and what we are doing on vacation. We tried this last year when we went to Africa but were only able to get internet access twice in 3 weeks...

What will we be doing for 3 weeks in Australia? We are deciding to just "go with the flow" and plan as we go. The only thing that we have booked is in Cairns (north). We are going there first to scuba dive at the Great Barrier Reef. After that we will just see what looks good. We plan to visit Melbourne, Adelaide, Kangaroo Island, Sydney and Tasmania if time allows.

James lived in Korea for two years about 20 years ago so we will spend time in Seoul touring the city and shopping (he tells me the shopping there is VERY good).

30 days and counting......
