Deekon’s Graduation - May 27 -31, 2022 - Ignacio CO

At the end of May we traveled home to Ignacio to attend high school graduation for my nephew Deekon.  All of my siblings ended up being able to come.  I love when this happens.

We attended the graduation ceremony on Saturday morning, May 28th.

The graduates decorated their cars and had a parade down Main Street. Some even threw candy.  My girls ended up with a big bag of treats.

In the afternoon the 3 littles (Elin, Anikka and Mia) planned a surprise party for Deek.  It was pretty well thought out and cute. They spent hours planning it and even talked James into taking them to buy decorations.

The stations were candy land,

play doh sculpture,

A candy walk

a relaxation station.

And a dance party

We ended with snacks and presents.

We hung out at Oscar’s house for a while

Then after dinner we had a birthday party for Lincoln and Dad.

Sunday morning all 5 kids went to church with Mom.

I took the kids for a picnic at the park

We stopped by the Southern Ute Indian Bear Dance on our way home.

And had yummy fry bread.

Oscar and Randi had a graduation party for Deekon Saturday afternoon.  We had tacos and dessert plus a photo booth. My cousin Denny and his wife stopped by on their way through town and I got to visit with my childhood friends Corie Burns and Clint Boyer.

Sunday night we had pizza and hung out.

Leina and Noah left Monday morning to go back to Utah.  James and all my brothers took their traditional trip to Durango to eat at the Durango Diner (they forgot send me a pic).  We took the little girls swimming at the rec center

Then spent the afternoon and evening playing

We traveled home Tuesday after a few pictures with grandparents.

We stopped by Treasure Falls for a short hike just outside of Pagosa.

And made a quick stop at Great Sand Dunes National Park (while our 4th grade pass is still valid)

What an amazing and busy weekend.  There is truly nothing as fun as having your whole (original) family all together.  It doesn’t happen nearly as much as I would like.  My stomach still hurts from all the laughs (and food).

Love this pic recreation seven years later.
